Bio: Hello there! My name is Morgan Ratynski and I am Lake Pointe Elementary's school counselor! I look forward to making each year productive, positive, and fun for our students. My counseling philosophy is that every student deserves to feel like the most important student in the school. When students engage with me, I hope I can make them feel that their needs are being prioritized. I hope to improve the counseling program at LPE by using a data-driven approach. With the feedback of our most important school stakeholders (our parents, our teachers, and of course our students), I believe I can make our school counseling program more proactive than reactive. I look forward to getting to know your students this year and helping them succeed at Lake Pointe and beyond!

For Families:

Eagle Awards:

Eagle Awards are our campus's monthly character recognition program. Each month, our campus focuses on a specific "Lake Pointe Life Skill" and teachers nominate a student from their class who has shown exceptional ability with that character trait that month to win an Eagle Award. During our monthly Eagle Award ceremony, students receive a certificate and a small gift and are celebrated in a schoolwide parade and an assembly attended by parents and family members. Our Eagle Award character traits for this school year are as follows:

September: Initiative
October: Courage
November: Cooperation
December: Integrity
January: Curiosity
February: Friendship
March: Problem Solving
April: Effort
May: Perseverance

Counseling Lessons:

  • In March and April, we will be learning about worry (specifically defining the feeling of anxiety) and learning some tools to cope with worry. Our testing grades will specifically focus on preparing for the STAAR test and combatting testing anxiety!

Parent Education Events:

  • Lake Travis ISD is committed to supporting our families by providing resources and education that promote student safety, wellness, and success. For the 2025–2026 school year, the LTISD Counseling and Health Services department is excited to launch our LTISD Virtual Parent Workshop Series designed to engage, inform, and empower parents on important topics affecting children and teens today.
